Preventative Health Courses

AmeriMed CPR – EMSA‑Approved Preventive Health & Safety Training. Approved for Child Care Licensing in California

This Course also includes the 1-hour Nutrition supplement and the Lead Poisoning Prevention supplement.

The Preventive Health Practices with Nutrition and Lead Poisoning Prevention course satisfies 8 hours of the 16-hour training requirement mandated for licensed childcare providers and center-based childcare staff in California.

This course is available online via Zoom throughout California.

The Zoom link is sent 1-3 business days before class.

• Overview of immunization laws and proper health recordkeeping procedures
• Guidance on child nutrition and participation in the Childcare Food Program
• Strategies for preventing injuries in early childhood environments

• Understanding the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as it applies to childcare providers

Certificate Delivery Information:

Certificates are provided on-site at the end of class for students who prepay and attend classes.

For Zoom classes, certificates are mailed via USPS and typically arrive within 7–10 business days.
